Our Story

My brother and I founded Bush League Bats in 2012 when we were only 10 & 12 years old.  To get started, I sold my hockey goalie equipment so that we could buy a basic wood lathe and we started spinning our own bats.  With the help of our dad, we soon learned how to read the grain of the wood, pick out a good billet, and turn it into a bat.  Once we had turned and painted a few solid ones, I brought one to school and started using it during baseball practice.  My friends were all in awe of the fact that we had made this bat ourselves.  They loved the way it looked and soon enough wanted to buy their very own Bush League Bat.  They placed so many orders that we were backed up for days trying to catch up!

The word about our bats spread quickly amongst the local baseball community, so we designed a customized merchandise booth and began touring around to various tournaments to share the story and the products with more players and their families.

Fast forward a couple of years and the high demand for our bats reached a point to which we simply couldn't keep up with the orders.  During a college baseball recruiting trip to the Boston area, my parents and I made a detour to meet up with a man who is considered by many to be the master craftsman of bat making.  After an entire afternoon in the shop and in his home, we agreed to team up and he is officially our Bush League production partner!  Having meticulously handcrafted thousands of bats for countless Major League and college players over the years, our new production master personally builds each and every Bush League Bat in his own high-tech shop in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  Having a strong personal connection with his sawmills, he is able to secure top-of-the pallet timber, whereas many lesser known companies get stuck with the leftovers.  Additionally, our supply is not sifted through by pro teams, and we don't have to put up with "store quality" bats.  Today, we receive all of our wood from the Cape Cod shop and personally apply the finishing touches to the bats before they reach your hands.

As if that wasn't enough, during this time of transition, we also became enamoured with the idea of creating a baseball lifestyle apparel line.  We began to design our own clothing, attended major retail conventions in the USA, and embarked on selling our merch!  Now, our line of apparel has expanded, featuring a variety of designs and flawless material.

While we continue to sell field-side with our merch' booth, we are stoked to announce that we will be releasing a new Offseason line in the Fall of 2018!  Follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on what's going on at Bush League Baseball.  Supplies may go quickly so be sure to order yours as soon as it becomes available!

Thanks for being a part of our story.  We couldn't do this without you.
